The Storm: Poetry

Photos provided by Pexels

The sunny sky is fading
clouds thick and gray
rolling in from far away
Deep dark
beautiful blue
the water is calm
but not for long
the waves begin to crash
The air is moist like morning dew
my hands are cold as ice
I feel a chill go down my bones
I hear a swoosh and a swish
the wind blows with a hiss
all of this I will not miss
I’m a island all alone
is anybody out there
